DIESEL: Renzo Rosso- will donate 5 million Euro to Venice and he is planing to buy a fashion house Marni.
VOGUE: Grace Coddington gives her opinion about Wang, Ghesquière, and Galliano: “I love Jhon Galliano” “I think he is brilliant”
“Don’t think of it as the same house as it was when Nicolas was the creative director; that’s everybody’s mistake.” Wang, she says, will have a “whole different agenda” during his tenure, however long that may be, because “he can’t be somebody else, and he certainly can’t be Nicolas.”
The only person who can be is Ghesquière himself, and Coddington is optimistic about his return. “He will bide his time and come back,” she assures fans. “He’s too brilliant to just disappear.” As for that other major designer currently “biding his time,” she is less certain he will be able to make a seamless transition back into the industry.
“I hope he will return,” she says, fueling the rumor mill surrounding Jhon Galliano‘s future career plans, “but I don’t know. That’s a tough one to get over…I love John, I think he’s brilliant. He certainly intends to come back — when he’s ready.” [ thanks to styleite.com]
